So two months ago, I started my first Pilot. With the support of a key Exec member, the focus of it was our Purpose, and our Strategic Goals.
This week, we opened our measures gallery. I know, I know, 2 months and you’re only half way there. Funny side note was that in week 2, it was realised we didn’t really have any strategic goals. So that was a distraction as the team partly used PuMP, along with higher level Strategy inputs, to develop strategic results.
I would love to share our Results Map, but cannot see how I can upload the pdf here in the forum.
As for the measures gallery, I’m in Defence, so that approach is very out of the box. I’ve conducted 2 “guided tours”, and both groups, once they understood how the approach worked, quickly got into the rhythm.
My guided tours are 1 hour sessions where members of the Pilot are available to talk to any of the content, and answer questions.
Anyone in the building can visit the gallery at any time, and peruse at their leisure. One team lead is already scheduling their team to visit as a group, so they can look at the Results and see where they fit into it all.
So, slow, but good. And, importantly, I’m enjoying it, which is rubbing off on others 🙂
