Hello Stacey,
I am very happy to share with you that I finally have a client to establish a performance measurement system by implementing PuMP 🙂 This will be my first PuMP implementation and I am really very excited.
It is a plant with almost 150 people, which produces laboratory equipment. I recommended them to start with a pilot (as you always say) and they really liked the idea. Their CEO wanted to start with 2 pilots, one for production and one for technical service, to be implemented at the same time with 2 separate teams. They selected 1 operational goal for the production team and 1 operational goal for the service team for the pilots.
We already run our first session of kick-off and Diagnostic in which we discussed the items in the Diagnostic tool and they gave scores for each item.
Next week, we will be doing the second session i.e. the Measurability Tests for the objectives they selected for pilots with the two teams separately.
Once the pilots are completed, I am planning to continue with the goals at the strategic level and try to complete the results map for the whole company-starting from mission and vision. Then iteratively make them design measures for each performance result on the results map and complete each step of PuMP for all.
So I wonder, am I on the right track? Is this the correct approach to implement PuMP as an outside facilitator or consultant?
